Kim Kardashian West was left “badly shaken” after being robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night in Paris.
As more details surrounding the harrowing experience come to light, we’re hearing the reality star is “emotionally damaged right now” as she deals with the aftermath and the intruders remain at large.
A source tells E! News:
“This is something that has the potential to screw anyone up for a very long time. It was incredibly frightening and it’s going to take a while to get over it.”
Adding:
“[Kim] is OK, but she’s still in shock that this happened. This was terrifying and it’s going to be a process to get over it.”
Ugh, we can only imagine. What a nightmare!

Fortunately, however, Kimmy’s kiddos North and Saint West were not present for the break-in:
“Ultimately, though, she is so grateful her kids were not there.”
Having her own mother, Kris Jenner, nearby immediately after the attack (and on the journey back to the states) “helped immensely” with keeping the A-lister calm following the robbery.
Now, as you can imagine, everyone in the famous family is having to reconsider their security practices.
People reports:
“This scared everyone. They’re not taking chances ├óΓé¼┬ª. It was a really scary situation for the entire family and it’s just not worth it to put themselves out there unnecessarily right now.”
Another insider tells the outlet that Kim is already working to amp up protection:
“[She will have] a much heavier security team. There will be a focus on security personal who aren’t in traditional clothing. There will be a lot more undercover security.”
KKW is projected to not only scale back on public appearances, but also how much she shares on social media:
“When something like this happens everything changes. Everything will change. It changes the whole family ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ how and where they travel. [Kim] will reassess traveling for work and feeling safe.”
So for those of you who have been begging for less Kardashian exposure… it looks like you might be getting it, whether you like it or not!
As far as how the 35-year-old is coping, the source says she’s “been spending all her time with kids and Kanye” while trying to keep things “as normal as possible” despite being “very emotional:”
“She’s not ready to talk about anything other than being with family … She’s barely slept. She’s had no anxiety medication or alcoholic drinks as she doesn’t do any of that stuff. She’s just got comfort from being around her kids and friends. Her best friends rushed to her side yesterday: Jonathan Cheban, Simon Huck, and La La Anthony. They have been her rocks and spent the day with her yesterday.”
Well, we’re happy to hear Kim is surrounded by loved ones!
And as for her response to the robbery… we wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t hear anything until the next KUWTK season finale!
In case you’re wondering about that $4 million dollar ring that was swept away during the incident, it sounds like authorities are confident in it’s return, as it has unique identifiers that will be a red flag if it ever shows up on the market.
But we guess only time will tell on that front.
