Prepare to see Kim Kardashian as you have never seen her before: stoic.
As she was previously committed to going to Australia this week to promote her family’s new line of hand bags, Kim K is down under right now, dealing with the media storm surrounding her announcement Monday that she filed for a divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage. Truth be told, while she has already released two separate statements on the matter, people really wanted to see her and know what’s going on in her head right now.
We suppose that is why Kim decided ultimately not to cancel the media tour and kill two bird with one stone, so to speak. She sat down, along with her sister Khloe, with the Aussie radio show Kyle and Jackie O, and opened up briefly on the fall of her marriage. When asked how she was holding up, she admitted that she’s “in a tough situation,” but she knew she wanted to honor the commitment she made in being there and in fact, being in Australia is “kind of like an escape” for her.
Though she made it clear she didn’t want to go into the details of what happened between her and Kris, she did say:
“I do want to make clear that I would never marry for a TV show, for money or anything like that. I think it’s really ridiculous that I have and defend that. I guess that’s what comes along when you film your wedding for a reality show.”
Guess so! And you should’ve known that by now, KK! It’s been how long since the original season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians? You know how these things work.
As for moving on from Kris and this whole situation, Kim’s certainly not ready to date yet, explaining on-air:
“I am a hopeless romantic, I’m in love with the dream of what all of that represents, but I think my answer now would be different. I’m just like I don├óΓé¼Γäót know if that’s what’s on the cards for me… maybe that’s not what my life’s supposed to be right now.”
Khloe then added that her sister’s views on “love and life …. [are what] makes her such a real person,” and she hopes Kim doesn’t lose that moving forward.
