Jameela Jamil went off on the famous family for selling products that she (and many) consider to be damaging to the young girls and women who follow them religiously on social media.
Months after publicly blasting Kim Kardashian West for promoting “Appetite Suppressant” lollipops on her Instagram page, The Good Place star reiterated her problem with the reality TV titans while speaking on Channel 4’s Ways to Change the World podcast.

Not only does the 32-year-old actress think the famous sisters are “toxic and damaging” to their impressionable fanbase, she accused them of “profiting off and selling a patriarchal narrative to other women.”
When pressed to explain why she thinks the KarJenners are really double agents for the patriarchy, Jamil said:
“The double agent for the patriarchy is basically just a woman who perhaps unknowingly is still putting the patriarchal narrative out into the world, is still benefiting off, profiting off and selling a patriarchal narrative to other women.”
So, how does one sell a patriarchal narrative?
“You are selling us something that really doesn’t make us feel good. You’re selling us an ideal, a body shape, a problem with our wrinkles, a problem with aging, a problem with gravity, a problem with any kind of body fat. You’re selling us self-consciousness, the same poison that made you clearly develop some sort of body dysmorphia or facial dysmorphia you are now pouring back into the world. You’re recycling hatred.”
Damn!!!
The Kardashians no doubt love flaunting their bods — and they advertise products they use that (allegedly) help them get those bods — on their pages. While many argue they’re not exactly feminist icons, many others have praised the sisters for the unapologetic way they show their skin, usually on their own terms.
The way Jamil sees it, however, these mega-influencers could not give less f**ks about the women who worship them.
Do U agree with her? Watch a clip of Jamil’s interview (below) and sound off in the comments!
