Kim Kardashian West is sticking up for little sis Kylie Jenner, and it sure seems… out of touch?
KKW, who has been so on-the-nose on so many things recently, is missing the boat on this one, after she took exception to people criticizing Kylie and saying the young makeup maven wasn’t “self-made,” but rather the product of a rich family.

In a phone interview this weekend with Refinery29, Kim opened up about how it felt to hear people criticize Kylie’s “self-made” description from Forbes last week, saying (below):
“I really didn’t get it, because she is ‘self-made’ — we are all ‘self-made.’ What, because we came from a family that has had success? To me, that doesn’t really make sense… I know so many people like that [who] haven’t turned out to be as successful as Kylie. If anything, I’ve seen the complete opposite.”
Yeah….. Kim, we get it, no one is saying Kylie isn’t successful… but she started in her business life with incredible resources, connections, and privileges from her parents and her family (and you!!!) up in Calabasas that she wouldn’t have had if she were some poor girl growing up alone on the streets of south Los Angeles.
Come on, Kim!!!

KKW added more about how her family has supposedly been working hard since day one, and that she was never given anything by her parents (below):
“Me, Kylie, not one [of the siblings] has ever depended on our parents for anything besides advice. That’s how I lived my life with my dad [Robert Kardashian]. He never gave me anything. We might have the opportunity, but I’ve seen it go the complete opposite way. Nobody works harder than my sisters and my mom.”
Again, Kim, nobody is saying that people work harder than your sisters and your mom… the issue here is that even if you felt you were given “nothing” by your parents, the incredible roof over your head, the food, the access to top-notch schooling, even the knowledge that they were well-off enough that you could fail in your business ventures and get back on your feet… that’s all something.
That means you’re not self-made.

Nobody is saying Kylie didn’t work hard. It’s great that she’s successful! We’re not arguing the whole thing is a handout.
But let’s call it what it is.
Come on, Kim!!!
