Kim Kardashian was perfectly content flying solo — until the universe apparently had other plans!
In a new interview with The Sunday Times’ Style magazine that was published on Sunday, the SKIMS mogul opened up about the five years she spent single following her split from Kanye West and her high-profile follow-up rebound relationship with Pete Davidson, revealing she was in absolutely no hurry to find another romance.

She said to the outlet:
“I was really single for five years, and that felt great. I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with.”
And she wasn’t exactly sitting around waiting for Prince Charming, either! She explained:
“I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn’t feel empty. I felt like I needed my time. I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favor when you just allow it to.”
Well, apparently the universe heard her loud and clear… and sent Lewis Hamilton!
Kim and the Formula 1 superstar were first linked back in February after a reported romantic meetup in Paris, of course.
Since then, they’ve vacationed together in Tokyo with Kim’s kids, ridden bikes in London and supported each other at major events. They confirmed their relationship in April, when Hamilton shared a video of the pair driving around Tokyo in his Ferrari F40.

But don’t expect Kim to spill all the tea anytime soon. Asked about discussing her relationship with the racing champ, she kept things VERY private:
“In the most respectful way, I’d probably rather not.”
Fair enough!
FYI, the couple most recently attended the Sept. 19 opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, where they were caught sharing a kiss. So, they are definitely still going strong!
Anyway, it sure sounds like Kim’s long single era ended when she least expected it!
