What a star studded, heartfelt goodbye to Jay Leno last night on his final Tonight Show!
In fact, Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian, among others, came by to surprise Jay in a really touching and equally HIGHlarious musical send off led by Billy Crystal.
The stars each took a verse from The Sound of Music‘s So Long, Farewell with the Shut-Your-Von Trapp family singers dancing and singing in the background.
In fact, Kim got real for a second (in a funny way) singing this couplet:
“So long, farewell, tonight I told my folks, and now, I won’t be the butt of Leno’s jokes.”
She must be thinking one late night host down, only 891028301 more to go!
Meanwhile, singing with pipes made out pure AH-Mazingness, Lady O told Jay what she’d do if she were in his shoes Canadian Tuxedo, or rather what he’d do if he were Oprah:
“So long, farewell, you’ve really raised the bar, if you were me, you’d buy them all a car!”
Although Jay didn’t buy them all a car, he later went on to say a really touching goodbye, especially to his staff. Best of luck to you, Mr. Leno.
