Kim Kardashian just helped put a drug trafficker behind bars — but not through her legal prowess! Through her shapewear line!
The business mogul’s SKIMS underwear and clothing line played a crucial role in busting a shocking attempt at transporting drugs in Europe! According to the National Crime Agency, Polish national Jakub Jan Konkel boarded a ferry with his transportation trailer last September in the Hook of Holland, The Netherlands, to head to the Port of Harwich in Essex. However, he was stopped by Border Force agents when he arrived to the Port and his cargo was x-rayed. In tow? 28 pallets of SKIMS active wear! And that wasn’t all. The transportation trailer was apparently specially rigged to hide drugs… More specifically, 90 packages each containing 2.2lbs of cocaine!!! In total, the drugs were valued at roughly $9 MILLION! WHOA!

According to the NCA, the SKIMS “load was entirely legitimate and neither the exporter nor importer were connected to the smuggled load.” Konkel initially denied having any knowledge about the illicit drugs, but ultimately came clean and pleaded guilty to drug smuggling. And get this: he apparently agreed to transport the $9+ million load for just $5,300! Now, he’s just been sentenced by the Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday to 13 and a half YEARS in prison!
