Sooo this is certainly an interesting development in the ongoing royal family saga!
According to a report out fresh and new on Friday evening via People, King Charles is apparently extending an olive branch of sorts to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as plans come together for their trip across the pond. And the offer is a surprising one: royal accommodations for the Sussexes and their children upon their return to the UK next month!

The reported invitation comes as Harry and Meghan are busy planning a visit to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. If the trip happens, it would mark the first time the entire family has traveled to Britain together in four years — a pretty significant milestone considering everything that has happened between the Sussexes and the royal family since their dramatic exit from royal duties in 2020.
Per People, King Charles has reportedly offered Harry, Meghan, and the kids a place to stay on a royal estate during their visit. As of now, however, there has reportedly been no response from the Sussex camp regarding whether they plan to accept the offer, FYI!
Of course, accommodations have never been the only issue standing in the way of a comfortable return to Harry’s homeland.
The Duke of Sussex has repeatedly spoken about his concerns regarding security in the UK after he and Meghan lost their taxpayer-funded police protection when they stepped back from their senior royal roles. Harry has fought the matter through the courts and has consistently argued that he does not feel comfortable bringing his wife and children to Britain without sufficient protection — which makes this latest royal invitation especially noteworthy, y’all!
Oh, and while King Charles is reportedly offering a place to stay, the very same report notes the monarch has no authority over security arrangements. Those decisions remain in the hands of the Home Office, meaning any acceptance of the accommodation offer would not automatically resolve Harry’s longstanding security concerns.

Meanwhile, royal watchers are already wondering whether this potential visit could lead to another father-son reunion. Nothing has been confirmed, but Harry and Charles have managed to meet privately during previous visits.
Meanwhile, for Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet, they have not visited the UK since 2022, so that would make this possible return all the more significant.
