This is terrifying!
27-year-old rapper King Louie, also known as Louis Johnson Jr., was shot in the head yesterday in Chicago.
According to Chicago police, he was shot in his vehicle in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side and rushed to the Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Thankfully, the musician is currently in stable condition.
In fact, a representative from King Louie’s management group confirmed that the rapper was both “awake and talking”.
Louie is probably most famously known for coining the term “Chi-Raq” back in 2009 and the term “Drillinois” which is a play off “Drill” — a trap hip-hop sub-genre popularized in Chicago.
The rapper’s most recent work is a song he dropped called F*ck Spike Lee that just happened to come out on the same day Spike Lee premiered his film Chi-Raq.
We’re just glad to hear King Louie is doing okay and hope that he continues to recover!
