Kit Harington Gets Real About The 'Demeaning' Sexism Towards Male Actors in Hollywood! See What He Said!

Tons of actresses have opened up over the years about the sexism against women in Hollywood.
But Kit Harington is here to tell you that being a pretty boy with great hair and a banging bod ain’t no walk in the park either!
The Game Of Thrones star said that male actors now have to deal with the “demeaning” sexism towards their appearance that women in the industry have long undergone.

Speaking to The Sunday Times Magazine, the 29-year-old explained:

“I think there is a double standard. If you said to a girl, ├óΓé¼╦£Do you like being called a babe?’ and she said, ├óΓé¼╦£No, not really,’ she’d be absolutely right. I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks. It’s demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I’ve been employed for a look I have. But there’s a sexism that happens towards men.”

While admitting he would stop acting altogether if he felt he was only getting roles because of his looks, Harington revealed he’s felt degraded when he’s asked to strip down for the cameras.
He added:

“There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well. At some points during photoshoots when I’m asked to strip down, I felt that.”

The actor also said that he was tired of being asked questions about his hair, his body, and his love life.
Well, maybe if Harington gave us some Game Of Thrones spoilers, reporters would stop bothering him with those other questions! LOLz!
Either way, while we’re sure both genders are being degraded — there’s no way its equal, right??
What do YOU think?
