Kourtney Kardashian's 'Relaxing' Family Trip To Utah With Scott Disick Was Exactly What They Needed

Sources open up about Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's 'relaxing' family trip to Utah.

There’s nothing like a little R&R to help get you back on track and feeling good!

Such was the case for former couple Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick who enjoyed a quick family getaway in Utah with their three kids over Memorial Day Weekend. The KUWTK stars have already shared a bunch of impressive pics from their travels across social media and now, multiple sources close to them are speaking out about the pair’s much-needed break from quarantine.

As you’re aware, the Poosh founder has been observing California’s safer-at-home order with her kids for the past few months, but she jumped at the chance to venture to the Beehive state, which has reopened its national parks amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, it made for the perfect opportunity for her to sit back at one of her fave resorts, Amangiri:

“Amangiri is one of Kourtney’s favorite places and they just announced its reopening, so she knew she wanted to go. She took a quick 3-day trip with the kids. They flew in on a private jet and had a customized weekend of activities set up for them.”

Gotta love being rich with access to private jets, especially as only “essential travel” is deemed appropriate amid the pandemic. Can’t say we’d consider a “quick 3-day trip” necessary….

Regardless, the source continued:

“It was very relaxing and such a nice change of scenery to get out of town and be out in the desert. There was nobody around and they felt like they had it all to themselves.”

A second insider explained why Scott, who’s in the middle of dealing with his own mental health issues and a (temporary?) breakup from his GF Sofia Richie, tagged along to celebrate his May 26th birthday a little bit earlier:

“Scott went with Kourtney and the kids to Amangiri to celebrate his birthday and enjoy the holiday weekend. He is doing a lot better and is focused on healing. He’s talked with a few therapists who are helping him talk through his struggles and navigate his next moves.”

According to that same person, Kourtney’s direct and comforting approach to her baby daddy’s situation has made all the difference right now:

“Scott has been very willing and open to get help and wants to continue treatment. Kourtney knows how to handle Scott and he is always in a better headspace when he gets to spend time with his kids. She has really been there for him since his rehab exit, and has had a lot of sympathy towards him.”

For the 41-year-old Kardashian, it’s all about getting Disick “healthy” because it’s “best for their family and makes the dynamic much easier.” As you know, the two share their sons Mason and Reign, and daughter Penelope together.

“Scott is doing so much better since last month when he was feeling down. It truly takes him to hit rock bottom for him to get help and get his life back on track.”

While the Utah trip was a nice departure from the drama back home, the confidant explained Scott and Sofia are still in contact with each other during this continued time apart:

“Scott and Sofia are still in touch. They are definitely still spending time apart for now. Sofia wants to make sure Scott gets the help he needs before they can be in a healthy relationship but they aren’t completely calling it quits just yet.”

Still no telling how that’ll shake out but we do wish the couple all the best! Hopefully, the efforts he’s made to recharge and unplug from his troubles can be the difference-maker here.
