Kris Jenner’s sister has unfortunately passed away.
It’s a sad day for the KarJenners, as they’re mourning the loss of their aunt, Momager Kris’ younger sister Karen Houghton. Law enforcement sources told TMZ on Tuesday the 65-year-old was reported as deceased to San Diego County officials on Monday in San Marcos. While the exact conditions surrounding her death are not known at this time, the outlet reported that preliminary information is leading investigators to believe she died from natural causes.

On Tuesday morning, Kris confirmed the sad news. She took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late sister, sharing a carousel of vintage photos and a lengthy caption. She wrote:
“It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly. My heart aches for my mom MJ [Houghton] and my niece Natalie [Zettel] and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time. Karen was beautiful inside and out. She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny. She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter.”
The 68-year-old continued:
“She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together. Karen’s passing is a reminder that life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised. We must tell those we cherish how much we love them. I love you my beautiful sister.”
So, so sad. We hope she, their mom MJ, Karen’s daughter Natalie, and everyone else in the fam hold each other a little tighter this week.
