Shut the backstage door!
It’s been recently reported that Kristin Chenoweth is in discussions to play Dolly Levi in a multimillion dollar Broadway revival of Hello Dolly! Wicked!
Apparently, the role has been offered in the past to Queen Latifah, and Bette Midler, who turned it down because she didn’t want to do a grueling 8 performances a week!
However, it looks like the Popular singer seems to be the most popular candidate for the job, as Kristin has made it crystal clear that she’d like to do Dolly sometime in the next decade.
Well, it looks like that dream might come 8 years early, as the revival is expected to happen within the next 2 years!
We’re so excited at the prospect of Elphaba being the alpha babe in Hello Dolly!, and changing the titular role for good!
