Who doesn’t love a bit of drama??

We’ve enlisted the help of celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle to show you EXCLUSIVELY how to make sure your makeup pops!
Want winged liner? Contoured cheekbones? Well, that’s exactly what he does for his A-list clients, like Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Jessica Chastain — just to name a few!

Step 1: Contour the entire face. Start with full coverage foundation and then contour the cheekbones, sides of the forehead to narrow them, and a little bit down the sides of the nose. Then with highlighter, swipe it down the center of the nose and the tops of the cheekbones to make them pop.
Step 2: Contour the collarbone. It will make you look more svelte, especially when you’re wearing something strapless!
Step 3: Using a cream liner that will dry quickly, create wings at the ends of your eyes. Start by creating your angle, then connect it to the other side, and fill it in with the cream. And then by using a wedged brush, fill in the space along the lash line to make a more dramatic look!
Tip: If you over exaggerate the wings, don’t worry. Taking a brush with a tiny bit of concealer, you can easily carve/clean up the lines.
Step 4: Fit your faux lashes! Taking a full lash, place it on the eye to do a little fitting to see if it’s too long on the end. If so, you can easily trim it. Never trim from the inside.
Tip: Try not to use black lash glue to apply the lashes because it makes a huge mess, especially if you don’t get it right the first time.
Step 5: Wait thirty seconds because it’s a little too sticky. Apply!
Step 6: For a stronger, thicker look, apply another pair of lashes right on top! And using the back of the lash tube and a little glue, apply it to the lash line and push both pairs of lashes up to give you that lifted look.
Fun Fact: The most pairs of lashes Kristofer has ever put on Christina Aguilera was ELEVEN! It was for a scene in Burlesque so it’s totally cool!
Step 7: : Add darkness to the outer corner of the eye, bumping it up against the end of the wing.
Step 8: Then apply a smokey shadow to the upper crease of the eye. Slowly build until you’re comfortable.
Step 9: Carve the eyebrows by adding a bit of a matte shadow underneath them. Finishing off the shadow, add a shiny hue to the lid to help make it pop.
Step 10: If you want even more glamour, add mascara to the bottom lashes! And why wouldn’t you want to? LOLz!
Step 11: With the lip pencil color of your choice, trace out the lip and begin to slowly fill it in.
Step 12: And by using the matching lip color, fill in the entirety of the lips!
That’s it! Your sexy, dramatic look is all set!
We love this tutorial because you can always switch it up by doing a different lip color or even a less dramatic eye. It’s really whatever you feel comfortable with!
