When stoopid things come out of those rabbit teeth of hers, we are the first ones to call her out on it. But now, there are some other folks who are pissed off at Kristen Stewart and they have a solid argument.
In a recent interview, KStew likened her fame and the constant media scrutiny she faced to being “raped,” saying ├óΓé¼┼ôI never expected that this would be my life.├óΓé¼┬¥
The Rape and Incest National Network (R.A.I.N.N.) heard about KStew’s analogy and were understandably put out by it. A spokesperson for the group released the following statement, saying:
├óΓé¼┼ôStewart’s comments are regrettable. Portraying a rape survivor in the film ├óΓé¼╦£Speak├óΓé¼Γäó should have led her to use a more appropriate metaphor to describe the intrusive nature of the paparazzi. Rape is more than an intrusion, it’s a violent crime, that causes serious long term mental health effects for victims.├óΓé¼┬¥
Oh yeah! Hey remember that, KStew? Did you even do any research before that role? We think you’d be more sensitive if you had.
R.A.I.N.N isn’t the only organization upset with Kristen’s word choice. RapeIs.org and the Men Can Stop Rape Organization also made statements asking Kristen to “reevaluate” her word choice when she talks to the media she hates so much.
An apology is in order, KStew. We recommend having your publicist write it for you so you don’t eff it up!
