KStew is a HUGE celebrity!
So you would think any parent of such a star would feel good about it, right?
Well, Jules Stewart disagrees with you. The first time filmmaker wants to be recognized for her own accomplishments, and not just for raising the Twilight lady.
Here’s what she said:
“It’s extremely frustrating for me, because she’s 22 years old and I’m almost 60. In terms of life experience ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ hello! ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I have it all over her. It’s not like I came out of nowhere. To the world, I have no name. I am ‘Mama Stew’ ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that’s what they call me, all of her zillions of fans. Or I’m Kristen’s mom; I’m famous for being her mom. Most of the female directors that are successful in this business came up through the ranks. And I’m hoping to follow in their footsteps. I have my own career. My own thing going on. And I would hate to think that it’s because of my 22-year-old that I got to direct a movie.”
We agree she wants to recognize the fruits of her hard labor as earned rather than given!
But we think she is in a very unique position.
If her movie is a success – eat it up for yourself!
If it isn’t – say it was KStew’s fault!
Jk! Lolz!
Good luck with your new movie, Jules!!!
