Kyle Richards is STILL not ready to officially end her marriage to Mauricio Umansky.
As Perezcious readers know, the reality stars have been living separate lives since announcing their separation in 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Kyle stayed in their family home while Mauricio moved into a bachelor pad in Los Angeles. The real estate agent also hasn’t been afraid to put himself out there again! We’ve seen him get cozy with multiple women during the separation! Kyle, though? She seemingly hasn’t been dating anyone — though there have been those Morgan Wade romance rumors since the start of the breakup with Mau!

It appears Kyle and Mauricio have moved on from each other for the most part! However, it’s been almost two years since they broke up, and neither have filed for divorce! Um… why?
It makes you wonder… What’s the hold up? Have they not filed for divorce yet because a part of them thinks there is a chance they’ll get back together? Or is something else holding them back?
We hate to disappoint Kyle and Mauricio fans. While they may still have a lot of love for each other, a reconciliation is NOT happening! A source told The US Sun on Thursday that they will “never” reconcile. The pair are on good terms and will always be there for each other, but “that ship has sailed” when it comes to calling off the breakup. The insider shared:
“Kyle and Mau are in as good of a place as they can be right now. It’s still hard for Kyle but she’s getting through it. I think they are past the point of every reconciling. They still have their own beautiful, unique bond and continue to be there for each other when it’s needed. Things haven’t gotten nasty on either side but it is over.”
If they aren’t getting back together, that means something else is stopping them from pulling the plug! Apparently, the hesitancy is because it’s just WAAAY too much work to divide up everything! The source explained:
“They’re not in a hurry to file but when they inevitably do it will be a nightmare to divide up assets, stakes in The Agency and a lot of other things they both went all into together.”
It really could be a “nightmare” for them! For those who don’t know, Kyle helped Mauricio start The Agency over a decade ago and still has a stake in the real estate company. The business has become a huge success, selling more than $12.4 billion in real estate in 2023 alone. Billion with a B! When you factor in what Kyle has done over the years, including The Real Housewives of Beverly, their net worth reportedly surpasses $100 million. They also own homes in Encino, Beverly Hills, Palm Desert, and Aspen. Wow!
With all this in mind, they have a lot to figure out! What complicates things is that Kyle and Mauricio do not have a prenup, so they can’t even fall back on that! These two could just split the money and various assets once they do file. But who knows! One of them could decide to fight a certain matter! We’ve seen in happen in previous divorces, so it would not shock us if Kyle and Mauricio ended up disagreeing on how to divide everything!
Right now, the two sound like they’re in a good place. We’d hate for things to take a nasty turn because they are fighting over who gets what. But how much longer can they avoid filing for divorce and hashing all this out? Wouldn’t it just be better for them to rip the band-aid off at this point and get it done if they have no hopes of a reconciliation? Hmm.
