The Abbey, a gay nightclub in West Hollywood, is a regular hotspot for bachelorette celebrations – mostly due to supa fine male dancers combined with copius amounts of alcohol!
But, owner David Cooley recently barred all pre-marriage female-centric parties due to marriage equality currently NOT being accepted in California.
Cooley states:
“We love our straight girlfriends coming in to celebrate one of the happiest days of their life, but it’s also a slap in the face to my customers and my life that we can’t have that same celebration”
We understand the decision, but we also don’t believe limiting the rights of others is an effective pro-gay marriage statement!
