Innocent until proven guilty…
Lacey Spears, the mom accused of keeping her son sick and eventually killing him with a lethal dose of sodium, has offered up a new theory over what might have poisoned Garnett.
According to newly completed court docs, the 26-year-old thinks that her 5-year-old may have actually killed himself by accident.
Garnett had lived throughout hospitals his whole life due to mystery illnesses, so it was nothing new when he was in treatment again for, what would turn out to be, the final time.
While denying being responsible for his Jan. 23rd death, Lacey said:
“The victim would once in a while play with his feeding tube and could have put something into it.”
Inneresting.
It’s reasonable to suggest that a young child could mess around with his medical equipment. But to dose himself with salt sounds a little too coincidental for us.

It’s been suggested that Lacey suffered from Munchausen Syndrome by proxy, which implored her to keep her son sick so that she could benefit from the attention.
Regardless of the cause or the killer, we just hope that Garnett eventually gets justice.
The case will continue in front of a judge on Oct. 15th.
