Uh-oh! Could Lady GaGa‘s touring company actually have to hand over $300K to the singer’s ex-assistant?
Jennifer O’Neil filed a lawsuit against Mermaid Touring Company last year because she claims that GaGa lived up to her nickname and actually was a Mother Monster to work for.
The pissed off assistant wants $380,000 for overtime pay which she believes she accumulated over the course of a 13 month span.
Earlier this month, GaGa took the stand for a six-hour deposition in connection with the lawsuit and the plaintiffs lawyer, Paul Millus, believes he got all of the information he was looking for. Telling sources he was “pleased” with some unknown discoveries the interview yielded, he said:
“I have been very pleased with the outcome of discovery thus far. Just by her responses, I believe our case is strong.├óΓé¼┬¥
If that’s true, he better have uncovered more damaging details other than the fact that Mz. O’Neil had to (gasp!) hand the pop star a towel after her showers and wake her butt up in the morning…
That’s not exactly “slave” labor if U ask us!
Either way, it sounds like a good possibility that the case will go to court if the two parties do not resolve the matter. They are scheduled to meet with a judge in a few weeks.
