Five-year-old Laila Naim is the first model of Pakistani descent to appear in Burberry ads!

This is definitely significant considering British Pakistanis are the second largest minority group in the United Kingdom, so it’s only fitting that they should be represented in the ads of the most iconic British brand.
And what an adorable representative!
Her mother Sadia recalled the audition process for the gig:
“We nearly didn’t go as I was very busy. The audition was like a proper photo shoot. Soon after, we heard she had been selected from the many, many children that auditioned. She loves the camera and is a natural, at her first shoot the shoot’s creative director asked if she had been doing this for a long time! She was totally comfortable in front of the camera and Burberry team.”
It was obviously meant to be!
