The NBA is doing a great job of acting quickly and decisively about Kobe’s screw-up!
Execs from the Lakers and NBA have agreed to meet with GLAAD to talk about how the league should handle such incidents in the future (btw, in case you’re just tuning into this story, Kobe called a ref a “f***ing f**got” at a game).
Outside of this upcoming meeting, the league has already been in touch with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, and have gotten good feedback on what they need to do.
Lakers spokesperson John Black also made it clear that Kobe├óΓé¼Γäós comments do “not representative of what the Lakers stand for.”
Good to see the NBA acting responsibly!
