Lance Armstrong Knows What Every Cancer Patient Wants

Lance Armstrong has had his own battles with cancer, and knows exactly what other cancer patients want — especially when he’s meeting with them.
He knows they don’t want advice. It wouldn’t make sense to give personal advice to people going through their own, specific, battles. Instead, he says, they want him to listen:

“I don’t say anything. They don’t expect Vince Lombardi to come in and give tips. They want to be heard. They want me to sit there, look at them in the eye and feel their story.”

And that’s what he does!
Lance Armstrong truly is an inspiration for us all. He also hopes that his story will leave the “Armstrong Effect” which is the view that cancer can be easily defeated — as it generates the right kind of attitude for patients to latch onto.
