The Spanish distributor for Larry Crowne, Tripictures, has found themselves in a bit of a situation…
For “promoting reckless driving” in the promotional ad which features Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, Spanish Traffic Authorities felt it necessary to fine Tripictures 30,000 euros. That’s $41,300!!!
Tripictures couldn’t believe it. They stated:
When the fine showed up in the post we thought it was a joke. We didn’t even expect something like this when we distributed the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
