Uhhh, did Target nab some inspo from a YouTube star for their 2024 Halloween decor lineup?? And not even bother to contact her about it?! That’s the question on some fans’ minds!
If you’ve been to Target in the past few weeks, you may have noticed they’re already full-on Halloween mode. But one of their latest decorative pieces has fans thinking back to Pamela Pumpkin! Does anybody remember her??
Well, internet sensation Laura Clery created the character years ago. Pamela Pumpkin is a southern-inspired pumpkin who’s SUPER into working out! ‘80s clothes and all! Ha! You can ch-ch-check her out for some context (below):

Well, this year, Target rolled out their own “Iron Lewcy” character — one who’s also a pumpkin decked out in ‘80s workout gear… and who also speaks with some twang in her voice. Hmmm. See for yourself (below):

In the comments, fans quickly began drawing comparisons to Laura’s Pamela Pumpkin:

And a TON of other fans just simply tagged Laura in the post! And she saw!

In a new TikTok clip over the weekend, the internet star responded to a fan’s question asking how she feels about “Target essentially selling a Pamela Pumpkin Halloween decoration this year?!”
Clery responded in the video:
“I have no idea what she is talking about, but has anyone seen Pamela Pumpkin Halloween decorations at Target? Do we need to have a conversation with Target? What’s happening?”

And in her comments, fans were totally on her side:

To that last comment, Laura responded:

However, another fan played devil’s advocate, pointing out, “Is it not just 80s workout clothes???”
And while that’s very true — no one owns the sole rights to ‘80s fashion — does Iron Lewcy’s voice and accent not sound eerily similar to Pamela Pumpkin’s signature southern speak?? It could already be seen as a stretch to put ’80s and Halloween together the way Laura already did, but to have such similar voices too??
