Laura Dern is mourning the loss of her Jurassic Park co-star Sam Neill.
After his family announced his sad passing on Sunday night, the 59-year-old actress released a statement obtained by Us Weekly on Monday regarding his death. She said:
“Sam was my beloved lifetime friend. He showed me the depths of loyalty, protectiveness and love always with the driest of wit.”
Wrapping up, she simply stated:
“He was a true and noble gentleman, wrapped up in my dream leading man. I will love you forever, Dr. Alan Grant.”
Aww… So heartbreaking!

So far, his family has not given much information as to what happened, but they did confirm his death had nothing to do with his previous cancer battle. Our heart goes out to Laura and all of Sam’s loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
