Scotty McCreery won American Idol last night. He got the title, he got the recording contract – and he might’ve also gotten the girl!
Was anyone else watching Scotty with Lauren Alaina after he won last night? The guy had just stolen the most coveted title in reality show history from her and she in turn…kissed him! Unless our eyes decieved us, we think there was a definite smooch between the two directly after Scotty won the big prize.
So, are these two an item or was she just overwhelmed by the power of the moment and felt compelled by the eletric energy to lay one on him? Let’s ask them!
As Lauren and Scotty left the Idol stage for the last time, they were bombarded by the press, all of which saw the same kiss we did and quickly wanted to know their relationship status. Lauren coyly replied that Scotty “might be” her boyfriend, but Scotty said he was “still single.”
Hmm. Sounds like it’s more of a “it’s complicated” type Facebook status situation. Maybe Lauren was hoping to ride Scotty’s coattails a little bit or maybe Scotty’s trying to keep his options open, since now he’s a big time American Idol winner and all.
We say, give them time to figure this one out. They’ve got the whole summer together, touring the country, to see where their connection might lead them.
