New details are coming out about the sudden death of Lauren Bennett.
As we previously reported, the singer, who famously collaborated on LMFAO‘s Party Rock Anthem and had been in the girl groups Paradiso Girls and G.R.L., died at 36 on May 29 in Meopham. Her former G.R.L. bandmates, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula van Oppen, confirmed the sad news on Instagram on Monday.

Her death is currently under investigation by the Kent and Medway Coroner Service, which began on June 12. Now multiple sources with direct knowledge have revealed to TMZ that the authorities are treating her case as a suspected suicide.
Oh no…
We won’t get official word on what happened until likely October, though. Lauren’s father, Richard Bennett, hinted at her struggles in a tribute posted to Instagram after her death. He slammed the medical care the I Wish I Wish artist received after she “experienced a severe reaction to a prescribed medication.” He continued:
“As a family, we all rallied around her and did everything we could to support her. We have no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her death, only deep disappointment that, for five months, medical professionals and NHS services failed to treat her appropriately during her time of greatest need.”
That’s devastating. And what makes this even more heartbreaking is that her G.R.L. bandmate, Simone Battle, also died by suicide in 2014. We can’t imagine how the other girls are feeling after going through a tragedy like this, not once but twice. Our hearts continue to go out to them and Lauren’s family.
