Lauren Bush is following in sister-in-law Dylan Lauren‘s footsteps and showing off her much talked about wedding gown in the pages of Vogue‘s December issue.
The FEED Project co-founder tied the knot with David Lauren over Labor Day weekend at the Double RL ranch in Colorado and had what she calls a “rustic elegance” theme.
As we mentioned before, Lauren’s dress was designed by her father-in-law Ralph Lauren and said the whole experience was special:
├óΓé¼┼ôAny experience of a girl picking out her wedding dress is amazing, but I have to say it was really special to work with David├óΓé¼Γäós dad, to see him in action with his team.”
She also recalled the first time she saw sketches of her dress at the designer’s studio:
“I walked in, and there were these beautiful illustrations of the looks we├óΓé¼Γäód discussed with my face on them. It was like a dream come true. We sat together and arrived at this silhouette. It isn├óΓé¼Γäót Victorian exactly. I wanted something modern as well, so there is the high-necked collar and puffed shoulders with the large open back.├óΓé¼┬¥
By the time the gown was finished over 100 craftspeople spent more than 3,000 hours hand-emroidering the antique tulle with Swarovski Elements, beads, and pearls.
Dayum.
As for her feet, Lauren opted for cowboy boots and blue socks for that something blue.
