Lauren Conrad Says 'My Life Is A Bit Of A Mess'

Lauren Conrad wants us to know, in her life it’s not just Hills — there are valleys too.
The former MTV star is opening up about the truth behind her seemingly picture-perfect life. It isn’t as beautifully curated as her social media feed, but of course we’d never know. Instagram is a highlight reel after all!

In a recent feature with Redbook, LC reveals she knows how things may look to an outsider:

“It’s really funny to me when people have this idea that I have things very put together. My life is a bit of a mess, and I don’t broadcast that, but I like it that way.
I like to focus on the prettier parts of life, but that doesn’t necessarily represent all of it.”

The 32-year-old’s gorgeous glossy feed shows us she’s a dedicated mother to her one-year-old son Liam, loving wife to husband William Tell, a best-selling author and creative collaborator with Kohl’s.
Hence why she opted out of doing The Hills reboot with the rest of her former cast mates.
But the offline moments we don’t get to see, like the challenges of running a business, have taught her a lot:

“I wanted to handle everything myself—I felt that nobody would care about my business as much as I would. But when you take on too much, it’s hard to do everything well. It got to the point where it was too much for me to handle. I had to learn to delegate. If you can focus on the areas where you know you can’t be replaced and bring in help in the areas you can, that’s where you find success.”
