Faboosh!
On Sunday, Laverne Cox and Andre Leon Talley appeared on Andy Cohen‘s show Watch What Happens Live and dished about Caitlyn Jenner‘s role as a transgender icon and her string of recent fashion successes.
In response to a fan question, the Orange Is the New Black star shared:

“I think she looks great. I love what she’s wearing. I think she recently wore [Herve] Leger├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I wear Leger a lot. Go Caitlyn!”

LOVES it!

The former Vogue editor then chimed in:

“I think she looks fabulous. I thought she was fabulous on the Vanity Fair cover. And I think she looks like the perfect wealthy, affluent white woman who’s privileged├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and that’s important, [because] she comes from that kind of background. I think she looks fabulous.”

Hmm, very inneresting!
However, the transgender spokesperson went on to explain that though she had praise for the former Olympian she wanted to emphasize importance of looking beyond the surface.
She continued:

“The [focus on style] is part of the culture that we live in, with women who are celebrities. I mean, I’m here, you know, in clothes that have been picked out for me by a stylist.
I think it’s important, particularly when we talk about women├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and trans women even more particularly├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥that we focus on who the person is beyond what we look like. I like to think I have a lot more to offer beyond what I look like.”

Well said!
