Law & Order: SVU‘s Mariska Hargitay is suffering from a collapsed lung, it has been revealed!
Her rep says, “Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung).” She will, however, “appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of Law &Order: SVU.”
Whoa! That’s dedication!
No cause was given, but we’re going to assume she’s doing okay if she’s still going to work!
A collapsed lung usually occurs as the result of an injury to the chest, but not always. Treatment usually involves oxygen and observation, though more serious cases may require surgery.
We hope she feels better soon!
