55-year-old Leicester Bryce Stovell is suing LeBron James and his mother Gloria for millions, claiming they have covered up evidence that he is LeBron’s biological father. He wants $4 million and is claiming fraud, defamation and misrepresentation.
Leicester claims he met Gloria at a bar in DC and they had sex that night, but he was 29 and he didn’t know that she was only 15.
He says that after they hooked up she returned to her home in Ohio and went back to DC a few months later to tell him she was pregnant with a boy named LeBron. But she didn’t say who the father was.
Leicester remembers telling Gloria, “Well, if he’s mine, make sure he plays basketball” since he was a high-school all-star athlete himself.
Leicester went on to graduate from Princeton, get a law degree from the University of Chicago and then became a Senior Legal Advisor for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
He says he didn’t speak to Gloria again until 2007 when he suspected he was the father of LeBron. Lebron agreed, through his lawyer, to take a paternity test. The results came back negative and Leicester believes the results were tampered with by Gloria and LeBron.
Leicester also claimed that Gloria denied ever meeting him, threatened him with physical harm and said that “LeBron’s money is for his children” during their 2007 phone call.
So why is LeBron going along with the supposed cover-up? Leicester says it’s “due to anger at perceived abandonment and conflict arising from his image as a successful fatherless child from the projects.”
