Lena Dunham is opening up about her body since her hysterectomy.
As we previously reported, the 32-year-old had her cervix and uterus removed in an effort to win her difficult battle with endometriosis. Now, nine months later, the Girls creator is taking a moment to reflect on her life-changing surgery, and show her body some love on social media.

In her caption, the HBO star calls out the “#RIPJudy” tattoo over her ribs, in tribute to the nickname given to her since-removed uterus by a friend.
Dunham ends with a heartfelt thank-you to her strong body and celebrates a new self-proclaimed holiday with, “Happy Giving Birth To Myself Day.”
So much body positivity, strength, and perseverance. Go Lena!!
