How can that be?
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is winning in the ratings compared to the Late Show with David Letterman in the adult demo with Leno at 4.4 million viewers and Letterman at 3.8 million.
BUT, Leno’s ratings compared to his performance last year have slipped 13% in the demographic and 3% in viewers meaning his entire audience hasn’t returned.
Another cause for alarm is that Leno is just barely beating Conan O’Brien‘s previous ratings on the Tonight Show with his average at 1.2 to Conan’s 1.1
Not the greatest news for NBC after all that controversy!
