Much like their critically acclaimed biopic The Wolf of Wall Street, Jonah & Leo’s next film project — The Ballad of Richard Jewell – is based on a true story.
It tells the tale of a security guard caught in the wrong place at the wrong time during the ’96 Olympic bombings in Atlanta. Originally hailed as a hero, Richard Jewell quickly became a suspect. While he was eventually cleared of all wrong doing, the security guard/former cop arguably had his life cut short by health problems that arose from the stress the situation created.
