Sure we’ve seen them showing plenty of affection in their music video and live performances of For You from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. They reportedly got a little too close for Cheryl‘s liking during a February performance on The Tonight Show.
But is there something there for real?

In a video obtained by DailyMail.com from behind the scenes of Bebe Rexha‘s VMAs kickoff concert on Sunday, the singers — apparently not noticing they were being recorded — were getting mighty snuggly.
Unless they were just practicing some new choreo, it looks like they might be an item!

An eyewitness described the scene to the Mail:
“They were standing there talking, laughing, smiling and dancing. She was in front of him and his arms were wrapped around her.
It definitely could have been something romantic but they didn’t kiss or anything.
It was during the song Meant To Be and they were just dancing and laughing with each other. He was holding onto her and his hand was on her neck.”
Liam is as of last week dating model Cairo Dwek, and Rita is supposedly still with Andrew Wyatt — and in fact was seen with him the next day!
So what’s up?? Just being… friendly?
