The Casey Anthony story will continue to live on the TV screen.
This time, it will be on Lifetime.
As reported earlier, the prosecutor of the Casey Anthony trial will release a memoir chronicling the case. Fox TV Studios has optioned the book and Lifetime is currently set on developing a TV film about the book.
In the book, retired prosecutor Jeff Ashton reveals that he regrets leaving the death penalty as an option during the case.
He also reveals that Anthony’s lawyers tried to bargain for a plea deal.
The telepic will be told from the prosecution team’s point of view, as the book is, and the adaptation is being written by Roe vs. Wade writer Alison Cross.
