Lil’ Wayne has a lil’ more to be proud of today! Actually, make that a lot!
A soldier fighting in Afghanistan credits the rapper with saving his life!
After PFC Lander Chappell was seriously injured in a roadside bombing attack, there was only one thing that kept him awake and alert enough to last until help could arrive- Weezy’s Tie My Hands!
Lander says:
“It got my mind off it and finally the medevac [medical evacuation] came.
We were still singing. We get on to the medevac. It’s one of the things I really appreciate him doing for me.”
What an amazing story! Lil’ Wayne thought so too! Upon hearing the soldier’s tale, he responded quickly and graciously. He tweeted:
PFC Lander Chappell, I’ve always known that my musik could change lives but I never knew it could save em as well. Thank u.

Is this what the movie Can A Song Save Your Life? is about? Is Mark Ruffalo playing Weezy??
Now we really want to see it! Although, the ending is kind of spoiled now. A song totally can save your life!
