Lilo & Stitch And The Ring Star Daveigh Chase Dead At 35

Former child actress Daveigh Chase has sadly passed away.

Her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, confirmed the news to TMZ, saying she died on Tuesday from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which resulted in sepsis and caused her body to shut down. How horrible. Daveigh reportedly was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles earlier this month due to malnutrition.

While she was receiving treatment, Roy created a GoFundMe where he wrote her health had deteriorated:

“Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left. All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days.”

Incredibly sad…

You may recognize Daveigh. She rose to fame early in her life, voicing the character Lilo Pelekai in the 2002 Disney film Lilo & Stitch and the follow-up series. She also voiced Chihiro Ogino in the American dub of Spirited Away. However, horror movie fans recognize her for her horrifying portrayal of Samara Morgan in the 2002 movie The Ring, which earned her the Best Villain award at the 2004 MTV Movie Awards. Her other notable projects include Big Love, Donnie Darko, ER, Mercy, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Beethoven’s 5th.

We’re keeping Daveigh’s family in our thoughts. Rest in peace…
