Lily Allen was recently interviewed for an article in the UK Telegraph. And, in it, we hear the obvious, boring details of her life. As usual.
She does, however, make some interesting comments. Such as blaming the Daily Mail for inventing stories about her.
Lily says:
“I just think it├óΓé¼Γäós ridiculous. I think that people saw me behaving what they saw as being badly, and then decided to say that actually I shouldn├óΓé¼Γäót be doing that because I am some kind of a ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ what├óΓé¼Γäós the word? ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ a role model. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think I ever was a role model. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think that anyone is a role model. I think it├óΓé¼Γäós just bollocks invented by the Daily Mail to try and make people look bad. No one aspires to be like me.“
Someone is a bit delusional. But it gets better.
Allen is asked if there’s ever a point when she just starts to freak out due to the “fame” and paparazzi following her.
To which Lily responds, “Yeah. I do that all the time. And usually at that point I have a mental breakdown and check myself into some kind of hospital. It is what it is. I├óΓé¼Γäóm not complaining. I have a really nice life.”
So, just how many times HAS Allen checked herself into a nutjob hospital? Somehow we think it’d be best if she stayed permanently next time!
And Allen explains that she wasn’t always into music and bands. She says, “I was more into fiddly, arty things. Like trinkets. And drugs. I was into art and drugs.”
She loves talking about drug use a lot!
Oh, and then during the interview she gets a call and says and the phone, “You├óΓé¼Γäóre out! I can├óΓé¼Γäót believe you├óΓé¼Γäóre out! Finally! Come over! So excited!” Turns out it was an old friend of hers who was just released from jail after three years.
Nice company.
And then she adds, “I don├óΓé¼Γäót know. I feel like I blagged it. Because I├óΓé¼Γäóm not very good, am I? I├óΓé¼Γäóm not a musician. I don├óΓé¼Γäót play an instrument. I write words. I write nursery rhymes. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think I├óΓé¼Γäóve found my thing yet.”
We kind of agree.
