Being on The Voice is both a blessing and a curse. Unlike American Idol, the show has yet to launch a big breakout music star!
We do LOVE Voice alum Melanie Martinez and a few others, but for the most part former contestants just disappear.
Thankfully, Lily Elise is still working hard and finding herself as an artist.
Her song I Don’t Know Why is not your traditional pop. It’s very soulful with some R&B touches.
It could totally be an Ariana Grande song. A really good Ariana Grande song!
