Great Dane And Her Seeing Eye Dog Headed For Forever Home

Lily is a Great Dane who lost both of her eyes due to an incurable condition when she was 18 months old.
She originally lived with her sister dog, Maddison, and the two of them have been at a shelter for the past 5 years.
Maddison and Lily are inseparable, with Maddison acting as Lily’s seeing eye dog.
She always walks close to her and touches her to lead her around.
They sleep together and play and bark just like normal dogs.
But every time someone visited the shelter, they were overlooked because they’re big dogs, come as a pair and one was blind.
Until recently!!
After the story of Lily and Maddison went global, hundreds of people suddenly offered to open their homes to the big doggies.
A spokesperson for the shelter said:

“Where before not one person came forward to give them a home, we’ve now got hundreds of people from across the world that want to take them in.
It looks like they possibly ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ not confirmed ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ may have found the right home and could be going home this weekend.”

Yay! We always love a happy ending.
