Ha! Way to get dropped, asshole!
Rush Limbaugh thought he would jump on the current celeb trend of buying a piece of the NFL, but sadly, for him, the team he was interested in investing would rather throw the season than let him attach his name to their tailgate.
Several African American players on the St. Louis Rams fervently objected to Rush becoming an investor for the team, because of the “racially objectionable” remarks he has made on his radio show. For example, Rush had commented on his show that the media wanted Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb to succeed simply because he is black.
What?! In what way does that even matter?!
And it’s not just the players that feel this way. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell explained at the the NFL Fall League Meeting:
“I think divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about. I would not want to see those kind of comments from people who are in a responsible position within the NFL.”
Tough break, Rush! Maybe you should try the WNBA. We know they just LOVE conservative and insensitive radio hosts like yourself!
