After a fun-filled day of speculation from either side, it seems like Lindsay Lohan‘s decision to LEAVE the plane she was already on for a private jet was a necessary one — at least from her vantage point.
As you’ll recall, Linds freaked out after boarding a Virgin America flight from JFK to LAX and insisted on hopping off for the luxury of a private jet instead. This was after missing her first flight.
While whispers of a potential oil leak rummaged about, most assumed Linds was just being a diva and demanding the most ridiculous option before her mandatory court appearance.
But according to a fellow passenger, the latter just isn’t true! They say:
“I’m on the plane last night getting ready to take off from JFK to LAX. Lindsay Lohan is sitting across the aisle from me. They announce that we’re going to have to stop in [Las Vegas] for a refuel because of some fairly routine maintenance issue that will require us to fly at lower altitude than typical. Ms. Lohan freaks out a bit, announcing to those of us nearby, ‘I have to get to court in the morning! I don’t want to go back to jail!’ And while the flight is waiting for approval for takeoff, she’s stressing big-time, pacing and making a string of phone calls. The flight crew was awesome, very professional and kind, working to accommodate her. At the last moment, she apologetically gets off the plane. She fretted a lot while they were waiting for an official clearance to take off. I think that was the tipping point for her. Honestly, I feel for her. It truly wasn’t a… diva moment. It was a scared-little-girl moment.”
The insider also assures that Lindsay’s actions did not cause the delay. Twas the delay that caused her freak-out! But funny enough, the plane never even made the pitstop in Vegas!
Lindsay eventually made it to LA, thanks to super wealthy friend/energy drink hawker Mr. Pink, and struck a rehab deal with the court.
…only to troll the nightclub scene the very same night! LOL, oh Lindsay!
