A long, long time ago (but you can still remember), Stephen King mused that it would be an interesting idea to remake Carrie for this generation and cast Lindsay Lohan in the title role.
Though noting concrete has come of this yet, it might interest her to know that should she get the part, Stephen won’t be the only one in her corner. Sissy Spacek, who originally was splattered in blood, shared that she would love to see Lindsay have the part! In fact, she feels “flattered” that anyone would compare herself to the young star. She explains:
“I read about it and I was very flattered because they ran a picture of me and of Lindsay Lohan. I was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s really a beautiful girl’ and so I was very flattered. I was also flattered that they were casting someone to look like me instead of the real Carrie described in the book. It’s gonna be real interesting.”
Sure is – especially if they go with Megan Fox!
Not to worry, LiLo! With so much support in your corner for the originators of the story and film, you’re bound to be seriously considered.
