White collared, grey headed…no matter what you call him, this lemur babe is RARE!!!!!
Harriet, a white collared lemur, has given birth is a BOOTIFULL son, named Jako.
Jako, which is Malagasy for “monkey,” is the class clown of the bunch at the Linton Zoological Gardens.
The lemur, also called a grey-headed lemur, joins Harriet, papa Jeepster and big sis Mirana as the 13th white collared lemur in captivity in Europe, nine of which are at Linton.
This species is also in the top 25 of the rarest primates in the world, meaning Jako’s birth is EXTRA special!
