Soccer Superstar Lionel Messi Sentenced To 21 Months In Prison For Fraud -- But He'll Probably Never See A Jail Cell!

Well this seems pretty foul…
Lionel Messi is pretty much God’s gift to soccer (sorry — football), but that doesn’t mean he’s the best at everything else in his life — like his finances.
In fact, the 29-year-old superstar was just sentenced to 21 months in prison for three counts of tax fraud early Wednesday morning!

We guess it’s a good thing Leo decided to retire so young… because according to Spanish courts, the former Barcelona forward was accused of hiding more than $11 MILLION between 2007 and 2009!
However, along with his father Jorge Horacio Messi, Lionel is expected to serve out his sentence under probation as opposed to any actual jail time due to Spain’s leniency on first-time offenders/the most famous man in the country.
Score one for Leo!
With that said, $11M is a ton of money, so maybe they’ll try to make an example out of the Argentinian athlete after all??
Yeah… probably not.
