At this point we’re pretty much all aware of the awful parenting in the McCallister family that left poor little Kevin home all by himself not once, but TWICE, to defend himself against dangerous armed robbers!
Well for one 9-year-old boy in New York, this big screen scenario played out for him in REAL LIFE! Sort of…
Chris Villavicencio was exploring the Central Park Zoo in New York City when he suddenly got separated from his sister and parents this past Saturday!
The little 9-year-old wandered around Times Square all by himself until he was eventually found by police at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is more than a mile away!
Chris was eventually reunited with his parents who were visibly shaken at the time. However, the young explorer didn’t seem so phased, as he said:
“This was the greatest day of my life because this was the first day I was at the police station!”
Ha! This kid is quite the optimist!!
We’re so glad that Chris was eventually reunited with his family, but we’re even more happy that he enjoyed his quick little tour through New York without getting hurt!
