Little Women: LA Star Christy McGinity Reveals Her Daughter Has Died At Just 2 Weeks Old

This is such sad news.

Our heart goes out to Little Women: LA star Christy McGinity and her boyfriend Gonzalo Justo Carazo as they mourn the loss of their daughter, Violet Eva Carazo. On Tuesday, the pair confirmed their newborn tragically passed away on March 20 at only 2 weeks old.

McGinity and Carazo shared in a statement to E! News:

“It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels. We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that we are forever thankful. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.”

Ugh, what a terrible loss… No parent should ever have to bury their child and it’s heartbreaking to hear the couple has been put in this deeply unfortunate situation. Details about the baby’s cause of death have not yet been revealed. However, we do know little Violet was prematurely born on March 6 when her momma was just 33 weeks into her pregnancy. McGinity’s rep previously confirmed to People that Violet arrived measuring 15 inches and weighing 3 pounds, 15 ounces.

The pair celebrated their baby’s first week of life in the neonatal intensive care unit where they snapped some loving photos with her. Carazo even marked the occasion with a touching tribute post (above) and included this heartfelt caption (below):

“Happy One Week Old Birthday ?? to our Baby Girl Violet ?. Thank U for making me a Dad and bringing me an entire new perspective during your first week of Life ?. We love you so much! ?? #BabyGirl #1stTimeDad #7WeeksEarly #OverprotectiveDad #Daddysgirl #NICUBaby #Love #OneDayAtATime”

And just days after Violet arrived, proud momma Christy shared an adorable family photo of the three along with a message to fans:

“Our sweet Violet ? Eva has arrived. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.”

Again, we’re sending these two lots of love and comfort right now as they grieve the loss of their first child together. Christy is also a mother to daughter Autumn and son Trenton from her previous marriage to Todd Gibel, which ended in 2019.
